As soon as I knew how to use a pencil, I was copying whatever I could find onto sheets of paper. I drew everything from horses to models, to Betty Boop! I even drew the pictures on matchbook covers.
Later on, I began to carry a small notebook with me and began writing poetry whenever the inspiration came upon me.
I bought a beginner's oil painting set and carried it around with me for 20 years, hoping to find the right person to teach me how to paint. One day I found Dale Momii at an art and wine festival and on June 4th, 1991, my life was forever changed by this teacher who encouraged us all to paint with our hearts. I shall be eternally grateful for his teaching and his friendship.
After years of painting in the garage, I am blessed to have an art studio now and to be able to share it with my other artist friends. God is good!

Wow Deb, it looks so peaceful! I love it so far and usually people look cross eyed at first stages of paintings like the base coats.
Love these colors together. I've seen it further along and it's going to be so beautiful!
Super beginning..... don't you just love beginnings!?
I still love it. It just keeps getting better and better. Especially love the castle, lakes, and sheep. Can't wait till it's finished!
Forgot to say I really love the mountains, sun and colors of the entire painting!
